Demand for Atrion's Leadership Challenge Workshops Through the Roof

Leadership is not something that is innate to everyone; rather, it has to be practiced, nurtured and cultivated. Such is the theme of Atrion's recurring Leadership Challenge Workshops, designed to teach attendees how to become better professional and personal leaders.

In just a few days, Atrion will kick off its November 19-20 workshop, following the immense success of its October 8-9 event. In fact, demand has grown so high that the number of workshops being offered has tripled from 2013 to 2014, and attendance is generally being booked six months in advance.

“These workshops represent powerful learning experiences and are truly different than anything participants have ever seen,” Atrion CEO Tim Hebert said. “Becoming a strong leader starts with self-reflection, self-awareness and building yourself from the inside out. At these workshops, we do a dive deep into how to build yourself from where you are to where you want to be.”

The workshops teach attendees how to hone leadership skills through: personal guidance from Hebert, who will discuss the key components of effective leadership, collaborative group interactions and problem-solving activities, interactive lectures, and a series of experiential learning exercises.

Atrion is no stranger to strong leadership, having achieved a number of regional and national accolades. The leading IT services provider was ranked in Inc. Magazine's annual Inc. 5000 listing and Providence Business News' Fastest-Growing & Innovative Companies awards program, has celebrated the Providence Business News naming Hebert as a recipient of the Business Leadership Award for its 12th annual Business Excellence Awards program in 2012, and has been named a “Best Places to Work” company for five consecutive years, nabbing the No. 1 spot in Rhode Island this year.

These laurels have created a surge of awareness and demand for the workshops, spearheaded by Hebert. One major difference in the program is that real business leaders facilitate the workshop, not a corporate trainer or consultant who has limited leadership experience.

“I share the good, bad and ugly of how I learned to become a leader,” said Hebert. “People get to see the CEO of a very successful company being vulnerable and able to share and commit, which helps set a comfortable experience. Not many people see a facilitator or instructor being that open.”

Echoing a similar sentiment, past attendee Tina Spears shared, “Heading to the challenge, I was aware I would receive good training, but it far exceeded my expectations and invoked an inner flame that was previously lit but is now is on fire.”

“I appreciated the time it allowed me to focus—really focus—on what it means to inspire others,” she added. “This challenge inspired my commitment and gave me some very concrete practices I can use to be the best leader I can be and inspire others toward leadership!”

While attendance is booked for the upcoming November session, there are still slots available for the January 21-22 event and other 2015 sessions. Each workshop consists of 18-22 attendees to ensure an intimate setting. Learn more about the Leadership Challenge Workshops by clicking here
