Marvel released their highly anticipated teaser trailer to Avengers 2: Age of Ultron to the public on Wednesday after a grainy version of terrible quality was leaked. Marvel Studios had originally planned to release the trailer on the newest episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. next week, but the leaked trailer forced the company behind the earth’s most marketable heroes to give the fans the opportunity to see the movie snippet earlier.

Not seeming to know who could have been behind leaking the trailer, Marvel Entertainment posted to their official Twitter page, stating simply, “D@mm!t Hydra.” Many fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and comic know that “Hydra” was the organization at the center of the plot in Captain America: The First Avenger and Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier as they started World War II, and then grew as a parasite within “S.H.I.E.L.D” to secretly create so much chaos that the world would eventually hand over its freedom. The next Avengers movie will work as a follow-up to Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier, Iron Man 3, and Thor: The Dark World.

The release of the latest installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe shows Avengers 2: Age of Ultron with everyone’s favorite heroes back together again. Some of the scenes featured are alarming, as fans get their first glimpse at “Ultron,” played by James Spader, who is the intelligent robot villain that will be kicking the Avengers’ butts during most of the movie when it hits theaters next month. “Ultron” does some talking about humans fighting for their planet, and not wanting things to change. There is an eery version of I’ve Got No Strings playing in the background, setting the tone for such an ominous creature to take center stage in a story that is less about evil, and more about an inevitable evolution. Also shown in the short clip is a bunch of bruising and frustration on the faces of “earth’s mightiest heroes,” and a debut of the “Hulkbuster” armor that Marvel comics fans have been really looking forward to as “Iron Man” fights the large green rage monster, “The Incredible Hulk.”

News had just recently released that Marvel’s Avengers 2: Age of Ultron will feature more visual effects than any other Marvel movie made so far. The total amount of visual effects tallies up to over 3,000 shots. In comparison for fans familiar with the Marvel franchise, Guardians of the Galaxy featured about 2,750 “vfx” shots, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier topped out at 2,500. According to reports, the studio hired help from “seven to 12” studios worldwide to give the film a wide array of effects and images to enhance fans’ experience as Marvel Studios looks to make Avengers 2 the biggest movie to date.

The next film in the MCU can go many ways, as this will be the keystone of what studio head Kevin Feige and director Joss Whedon call “Phase 2.” Next year’s release of Marvel’s Avengers 2: Age of Ultron will introduce fans to three new heroes: “The Scarlett Witch” and “Quicksilver” who are twins, both seen at the end of Cap 2 in the after credit clip, and “The Vision,” a hero who should be created much the same way that “Ultron” will in the movie. “Ultron” and “The Vision” are rumored to originate as remnants of “Tony Stark’s (Iron Man’s)” creations; one fighting for good and the other for extinction of the flawed human race. According to reports, Stark’s old artificial intelligence friend and house keeper “J.A.R.V.I.S” will take on a new life where he will wake up, see Stark and the other Avengers, and witness his new physical form. He will ask his creator about what exactly he had been transformed to, to which Stark replies, “J.A.R.V.I.S., you’re an Avenger.” Avengers 2: Age of Ultron blasts into theaters May 1, 2015.
