UQM Technologies Achieves ISO 14001 Environmental Certification to Complement Its TS16949 Certification

UQM Technologies Inc. (NYSE MKT: UQM) today announced that it has reached a significant milestone with the official certification for the ISO 14001 standard. ISO 14001 maps out a framework for a company to follow to establish an effective Environmental Management System (EMS). Taking over one year to achieve, this certification provides assurance to customers that UQM meets the highest environmental quality standards and that the environmental impact of business operations is being continuously measured and improved through a formal EMS. The independent auditor also performed the annual recertification required under TS16949 which was also passed successfully.

"Attaining the ISO 14001 certification is an important achievement in our progression in the industry to position UQM as a world-class supplier of electric drive components and systems," said Eric Ridenour, UQM Technologies President and Chief Executive Officer. "With this announcement, we have shown our commitment to meeting all of the requirements placed on Tier One suppliers, and our passion for delivering high quality products with minimal impact on the environment."
