Boston Harbor Distillery opened its doors last week, the brainchild of co-founders Rhonda Kallman (a co-founder of Boston Beer Company) and Corey Bunnewith (an alum of Drink and Coppa). Master distiller John Couchot previously developed spirits at Rogue Ales & Spirits in Oregon. Boston Harbor Distillery's opening line of spirits includes a single malt whiskey, a rum alternative made with molasses and maple syrup, a coffee liqueur, and seasonally changing whiskey varieties based on distilled Samuel Adams beers.
Above, take a look inside the brick-and-beam space, which dates backs to before the Civil War and boasts 40-foot ceilings, reclaimed wood, a 150-gallon copper still from Kentucky which happens to have the serial number 1776, and plenty of space for tastings, private events, and retail. Plus, there are some stately chairs and banquettes for those who want to sit while sipping cocktails made with Boston Harbor Distillery's spirits.
