Millington Savings Bank, a wholly-owned subsidiary of MSB Financial Inc., announced Tuesday it has appointed four industry executives to its senior management team.

  • John J. Bailey has been appointed chief lending officer and senior vice president;
  • Robert G. Russell Jr., has been promoted to chief operating officer and senior vice president;
  • Nancy E. Schmitz has been promoted to chief credit officer and senior vice president;
  • Jeffrey E. Smith has been promoted to chief financial officer and senior vice president.

“Millington Savings Bank is committed to providing our customers with the products and services they need to achieve their goals,” Michael Shriner, Millington’s CEO and president, said in a prepared statement. “Establishing a diversely experienced leadership team to achieve our strategic objectives is essential to our success and helps us to meet the needs of our customers and communities. These individuals are highly respected banking executives who bring robust credit and financial experience in addition to their leadership and strategic vision. We believe that we are positioning ourselves for growth and the ability to remain competitive by adding extremely accomplished experts in their fields.”

Bailey most recently was a senior vice president of credit administration for Union Center National Bank. He has more than 30 years of experience in commercial lending and financial services.

Russell, who previously served as CEO and president of NJM Bank, was appointed by Millington’s board to serve as its acting CFO in the absence of Smith, who is on extended medical leave.

Schmitz has been at Millington for 17 years as its commercial lending officer and corporate secretary.

Smith has served the company for more than 18 years in various positions, starting as its controller and most recently as its CFO.
