Sikorsky to Pull Out of Polish Chopper Bid

United Technologies Corp.’s Sikorsky Aircraft unit is withdrawing from a bid to provide 70 medium-lift utility helicopters to the Polish military unless the terms of the tender offer change.

“The technical, legal and economic terms set by the Ministry of National Defence preclude us from participating in the procurement procedure,” the Stratford, Connecticut-based unit said in a statement today.
