Neenah Paper’s earnings increase in second quarter

Neenah Paper Inc , a maker of technical products and fine papers, reported second-quarter net earnings of $15 million, up from $12.8 million last year at this time.

Revenue for the quarter was $230 million, up 9 percent from $212 million last year.

The company reported growth across its technical products and fine paper segments. Volume growth for the quarter was up 7 percent.

Neenah Paper is a leader in premium image and performance-based products, including filtration, specialized substrates used for tapes, labels and other products, and high-end printing papers. The company operates mills in Appleton, Neenah and Stevens Point.
