Greivis Vasquez thanks the organization, the city and the fanbase for two great seasons.
It’s a nice gesture of goodwill from Vasquez, who was moved because the return was simply too enticing. But as for his time with the Raptors, he was professional (save for some griping over playing time) and he did his job. Vasquez loved the city and eventually became one of its ambassadors.
He’ll now play out the final year of his deal in Milwaukee, where he should see a timeshare situation with Michael Carter-Williams. Greivis is a defensive liability, but the Bucks have a solid defensive system that can help mask some of Vasquez’s deficiencies. Meanwhile, the Bucks are woefully short on shooting, and Vasquez is a step in the right direction.
Adios, Vasquez.
