Qualcomm donates Rs 2 crore for relief activities in J&K and Andhra

Qualcomm Incorporated, through its subsidiary, Qualcomm India Private Limited (QIPL), on Monday announced a contribution of Rs 2 crores towards the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund, to aid relief and rehabilitation of people impacted in flood-ravaged Jammu & Kashmir and the recent cyclone-hit Andhra Pradesh.

LUCKNOW: Qualcomm Incorporated, through its subsidiary, Qualcomm India Private Limited (QIPL), on Monday announced a contribution of Rs 2 crores towards the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund, to aid relief and rehabilitation of people impacted in flood-ravaged Jammu & Kashmir and the recent cyclone-hit Andhra Pradesh.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of lives and devastation caused by the floods in Jammu & Kashmir and the recent cyclone in Andhra Pradesh.
We extend our deepest sympathies and support to those affected,” said Avneesh Agrawal, president, Qualcomm India and South Asia in a statement. “In response to the Prime Minister’s appeal, we would like to support the government's effort with our contribution, to enable a quick recovery of the impacted areas.”
Qualcomm is actively involved in various sustainable and philanthropic activities to develop and strengthen communities in India and worldwide. It is the maker of the famous Snapdragon family of mobile systems on a chip (SoC) and a leader in next-generation wireless technologies.
