Off the Liberty Way exit of Interstate 75 in Butler County, buildings are being erected and businesses are starting to take shape.One visible landmark is the new arch on top of what will be Dillard’s.Watch this story  |  In-depth look at the plansDevelopers said Thursday they're on target to open the $300 million Liberty Center on Oct. 8.View photos of the tour"We think Liberty Center is going to have a huge impact on this whole market between Northern Cincinnati and Dayton. It's a market in and of itself really. It's a whole metroplex coming together," Steiner and Associates Executive VP Beau Arnason said.The main entrance will be off Tylers Place Boulevard."And that will be the main entry for phase one of the project. That will lead you right in to the heart of the project," Steiner and Associates Development Director Justin Leyda said.Dillard’s will anchor one end; a 130-room AC by Marriott hotel will be on the other.Brio, the Cheesecake Factory, Kona Grill, Pies and Pints and Cine Bistro are among some of the other restaurants and entertainment venues set to open.Developers said Liberty Center will be more than just a place to eat, shop and play."All of our projects put a big emphasis on the town square in the common areas," Arnason said. "We'll have lots of activities there, movies on the square, pop-jet fountains for children and families."There will also be a community house to host weddings and fundraisers. About 240 urban-style apartments are also included in the plans.Unique to Liberty Center is something you won't see at other Steiner and Associates developments: a rooftop garden."You can see there's big Spanish steps leading up. It'll be a great area to relax and have a cup of coffee and just kind of have a sense of discovery up there," Arnason said.Arnason sees Liberty Center as a gathering point for this region.
