Deals Rumor Mill: SoftBank, Arle Capital, Varsity Brands

By Benjamin Horney (October 30, 2014, 5:48 PM EDT) -- Japanese telecom giant SoftBank Corp. has decided to go after the wireless assets of Mexico's America Movil SAB de CV, according to a Thursday report from The Wall Street Journal. America Movil recently put its wireless assets up for sale, and SoftBank subsequently asked Sprint Corp.'s chief executive to "gather information" on the assets, the report said noting that a potential deal would likely not involve Sprint and would be solely between SoftBank and America Movil. According to the report, SoftBank is currently considering bidding as much as $10 billion for the assets....
