MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man accused of stealing several thousand dollars worth of Nike shoes was sent to jail.
Police said they found the shoes inside an apartment at Shelby Pines on Boxberry Lane in Whitehaven.
According to reports, Mareco White stole more than $7,000 worth of Nike shoes.
Police found several boxes of tennis shoes in plain view all over the living and dining room inside of White’s apartment after serving a search warrant.
A representative from Nike Loss Prevention was able to verify the shoes as Nike’s property.
White’s bond was set at $25,000.
