Corning police have arrested a Corning man on suspicion of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl, according to a Corning Police Department press release.
Police on Wednesday arrested Jesse Lee Kerby, 31, near the 1900 block of Solano Street in Corning on suspicion of a lewd or lascivious act with a child, sexual battery, willful cruelty to a child, oral copulation and sexual penetration with a foreign object with force, according to the release.
Corning police said Kerby was identified as a suspect in an investigation into a report of child abuse and sexual assault, according to the release.
Kerby was booked into Tehama County Jail in Red Bluffwith bail set at $226,000.
