After an amazing weekend for New York sports, beginning with Thursday's NBA Draft -- which saw the Knicks draft 19-year-old Kristaps Porzingis -- Boomer and Craig were back together in the Allstate Studio ready to do their collective thing.

First up on Monday morning was the ultra-impressive debut of Steven Matz, as the 24-year-old pitcher from Stony Brook, Long Island made his first big league start for the Mets and made all sorts of noise with his bat as well as his left arm.  Matz earned the win after going 7 2/3 innings and allowing just two runs, but the buzz was really ramped up by a three-hit, four-RBI performance at the plate.

For his efforts, Matz earned the admiration from Boomer and Craig, which was expressed during this action-packed show open, along with some reflection on the Knicks, as Craig is still holding out hope that LeBron James -- who opted out of his current deal with the Cavs, as expected -- will bring his talents to the Big Apple.

There is some food for thought. Now go attack your Monday...
