From Coca-Cola To Tesla, Here Are The 68 Most Important Earnings Expectations For The Week

While many market-movers have already posted their most recent quarterly results, there are plenty more earnings on tap this week.

The most anticipated impending reports include those from rival soft drink giants The Coca-Cola Co KO and PepsiCo, Inc. PEP, only one of which is expected to show earnings growth.

The consensus forecasts call for higher earnings at Cisco Systems, Inc. CSCO, but earnings declines at Avon Products, Inc. AVP, Groupon Inc GRPN and Tesla Motors Inc TSLA when they take their turns in the earnings spotlight this week.

Here is a brief day-by-day run down of what analysts expect from these and some of the week's other most prominent reports.

Monday

Hasbro, Inc. HAS and Masco Corporation MAS are expected to kick off the week in earnings by posting year-over-year growth on the bottom line before the opening bell, followed by Computer Sciences Corporation CSC later in the day.

However, the consensus forecasts for Diamond Offshore Drilling Inc DO, Loews Corporation L and Randgold Resources Ltd. GOLD suggest profits will have diminished over the past quarter.

Tuesday

The fourth-quarter forecast for Coca-Cola calls for earnings per share (EPS) of $0.42 on revenue of $10.76 billion. In the same period of last year, the company posted EPS of $0.46 and revenue of $11.04 billion. EPS have not fallen short of estimates in recent quarters, but the consensus estimate has dropped two cents in the past 60 days. Watch for the report before the markets open.

Also on Tuesday, Akamai Technologies, Inc. AKAM, CVS Health Corp CVS, HCP, Inc. HCP, Kinross Gold Corporation (USA) KGC, Molson Coors Brewing Company TAP, PG&E Corporation PCG, Reynolds American, Inc. RAI, Ruckus Wireless Inc RKUS, Spirit Airlines Incorporated SAVE, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc HOT, UBS Group AG (USA) UBS and The Western Union Company WU are expected to offer up earnings growth.

Expectations from America Movil SAB de CV AMX and Pioneer Natural Resources PXD are flat.

Investors are looking for Dean Foods Co DF, KKR & Co. L.P. KKR and Monster Worldwide, Inc. MWW to have shrinking earnings, and Genworth Financial Inc GNW and Seattle Genetics, Inc. SGEN are each expected to a report a net loss.

Wednesday

Early Wednesday, PepsiCo will post per-share earnings of $1.08 on revenue of $19.66 billion, if the consensus forecast for the fourth quarter is correct. That would compare to EPS of $1.05 and $20.12 billion in revenue posted in the year-ago period. Note that the EPS topped estimates by at least 5 percent in the previous three periods.

After the regular trading session ends, the earnings spotlight will fall on Cisco and on Tesla. The consensus forecast calls for EPS from the networking giant to have risen almost 8 percent to $0.51 in the fiscal third quarter. From the electric car maker, earnings of $0.31 per share are anticipated, down from the $0.33 figure posted a year ago.

Quarterly revenue at Cisco is expected to total $11.79 billion, a gain of less than 6 percent from a year ago. From Tesla, a revenue jump of more than 61 percent to $1.23 billion is predicted, as well as a top line gain of more than 49 percent for the full year.

Analysts, on average, believe AOL, Inc. AOL, Applied Materials, Inc. AMAT, ARM Holdings plc ARMH, Baidu Inc BIDU, Lorillard Inc. LO, Mondelez International Inc MDLZ, Mosaic Co MOS, NetApp Inc. NTAP, NVIDIA Corporation NVDA, Pilgrim's Pride Corporation PPC, Tesoro Corporation TSO, Tripadvisor Inc TRIP, Voya Financial Inc VOYA, Whole Foods Market, Inc. WFM and Zillow Inc Z will report earnings growth in the middle of the week.

However, quarterly EPS are expected to be lower than a year ago at Agnico Eagle Mines Ltd AEM, Metlife Inc MET, Time Warner Inc TWX and Yamana Gold Inc. (USA) AUY, while a net loss is anticipated from FireEye Inc FEYE.

Thursday

Avon is scheduled to share its results before the markets open, and per-share earnings are expected to have retreated more than 26 percent to $0.25. Also, that estimate has slipped by three cents in the past 60 days.

Revenue for the fourth quarter is forecast to be more than 11 percent lower to $2.36 billion.

In its post-session report, Groupon is expected to report $0.03 per share on the bottom line, down from $0.04 in the fourth quarter of last year. Yet, revenue is estimated to come to $909.29 million for the quarter, which would be more than 18 percent higher, relative to the year-ago period.

Also on Thursday, look for anticipated earnings gains from Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc CCE, Kellogg Company K, Kraft Foods Group Inc KRFT, Vonage Holdings Corp. VG, WhiteWave Foods Co WWAV and Zynga Inc ZNGA, relative to the same period of last year.

American International Group Inc AIG, Apache Corporation APA, CBS Corporation CBS, DaVita HealthCare Partners Inc DVA, Dr Pepper Snapple Group Inc. DPS, King Digital Entertainment PLC KING and Melco Crown Entertainment Ltd MPEL are expected to report shrinking earnings.

The forecast for Alpha Natural Resources, Inc. ANR calls for another net loss in the coal supplier's last quarter.

Friday

J M Smucker Co SJM will show an earnings decline early in the day if the consensus forecast is correct, while Exelon Corporation EXC and VF Corp VFC are expected to report bottom line growth.
