Users of the FaxZero.com website sent 2.08 million faxes over the course of 2014 to government agencies and customer support services alike. As it has for the previous few years, FaxZero is releasing data on the companies and organizations that received the most faxes.

The e-commerce company Amazon.com received the most faxes in 2014, with 19,461 faxes sent via FaxZero.com. The auction site eBay came in second, with 8,865 faxes. Broadband and telecommunications company Verizon Wireless was the third most-faxed company, at 6,463. In fourth place, with 5,682 faxes, was the Health and Human Services Commission. And in fifth place was Chase Bank, which received 5,388 faxes through FaxZero.

After these initial five, in order, are the following most-faxed companies from 2014: AETNA, the Family and Social Services Administration, Fed Loan Servicing, AMEX Assurance Company, Paychex, AFLAC, Endeavor, TD Ameritrade, NPRC, Assurance Wireless, Progressive Insurance, Credentials Inc., Twitter, ChAMPS, the New York Department of Labor, American Express, Nelnet, Wells Fargo, Capital One, and Sallie Mae Loan Deferment.

The prior year, for 2013, eBay was the most-faxed company, followed by Twitter, Amazon, and the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, which has made it into the top five for three years running.

Kevin Savetz, the website's founder, launched FaxZero in 2006. "It's great to see people using the site in so many ways," Savetz said. "And I think it's interesting to see which companies receive the most faxes."

"I think many internet patrons are encouraged to use FaxZero since it's free and easy," he said. "It's nice to see companies bolstering communications with clients that way."

FaxZero allows users to send five free faxes per day (each with a three-page maximum) to any location in the United States or Canada. Additionally, FaxZero offers a premium faxing option for $1.99, for which there is no daily limit and allows up to 25 pages per fax. A mobile version allows users to send faxes through their smart phones. There's also an international fax option starting from $2 allowing users to send faxes to more than 180 countries worldwide. There's even a directory that makes it easy to send a free fax to your Congressperson or Senator.

FaxZero accepts documents in DOC, PDF, and other formats. Users can create a cover page through the website, or add their own custom file. Faxes usually take five minutes or less to send completely.

"With more than two million faxes sent and received in 2014, internet faxing is just as popular and important as ever," Savetz said. "I'm happy to provide a service that's people find so useful."
