Arista Power president leaves for another job

Arista Power Inc.’s president has resigned.

In a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission this week, the Rochester-based designer and installer of renewable energy systems said that Mark Matthews left to take a job as vice president of sales and marketing at EaglePicher Technologies LLC, a Missouri battery company. He will remain on the board of Arista Power.

Meanwhile, Arista CEO William A. Schmitz now also is serving as president.
