WEIS MARKETS ANNOUNCES OPENING OF BEER CAFÉ IN ITS EAST MARKET STREET STORE IN YORK

Store café received approval yesterday afternoon and is now open for business

Sunbury, PA (May 20, 2015) - Weis Markets received final Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) approval yesterday afternoon to open a beer café in its East Market Street store in York. It is currently in the final stages of stocking the café, which is now open for business.
The store is located at 2400 East Market Street. The 30-seat beer café will sell beer for on premise consumption and take-out. It offers more than 500 varieties, including an extensive collection of local craft beers. It will sell local beers brewed by Liquid Hero Brewery in York and Wyndridge Farm Brewing in nearby Dallastown.

The café is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to midnight and on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.

This is the third Weis Markets' beer café in York County. The food retailer currently operates beer cafés in its Roosevelt Boulevard store, as well as its Queensgate Mall location, which opened in March. A fourth café is currently under construction in its Carlisle Street store in Hanover.

Weis Markets currently operates 31 beer cafés in its Pennsylvania stores.
