Fire crews rescue farmer and two animals

Firefighters rescued two animals and a farmer in two separate incidents.

Fire crews were first called to Harley Brook, near Harley, Much Wenclock, when a farmer and a lamb were stranded on a ledge on a hillside.

Three crews and the rescue tender from Telford Central and Wellington were called to the incident and used line safety equipment to bring them to safety.

The crews were called at 8.55am on Saturday and they left the scene at 10.24am.

The same crews and the rescue tender were then sent to Duke's Street, Telford at 12.50pm where they rescued Comet the horse, leaving the scene at 1.51pm.
