Stealing stuff must work up quite a thirst. This might be why £250,000 worth of coca-cola drinks went missing recently in Bristol.

A large lorry which contained 26 pallets of fizzy drinks was stolen from Prompt Transport on Friday.

The lorry has since been found but the sugary bounty was missing, and police are trying to trace the movements of the thief or thieves.

If we say the average can of coke is about 60p, that means the crooks could have made off with 416,000 cans of the good stuff.

It is unknown whether or not the thieves plan to sell them, however let’s at least hope they don’t drink them all at once – it will be a nightmare for their dentist.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact police or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
