Penn State's second Big Saturday of the year is here.

The Lions are hosting a strong contingent of underclassmen today, less than a week from National Signing Day but almost a month until the program holds Junior Day. It can only be considered a good thing for head coach James Franklin.

Elsewhere, the Lions picked up a walk-on commitment Friday night, and he's a Keystone State native. Another Pennsylvania prospect spoke with Penn State's staff Friday, and the Lions were also in Ohio.

Visitors rolling in for unofficial visits

It's a big weekend for Penn State, who host underclassmen this weekend after hosting seniors on official visits last Friday through Sunday. Prospects and their families must pay nearly all expenses associated with an unofficial visit, including lodging, meals, and travel costs.

That hasn't stopped a strong group from traveling to University Park, though. Many have already checked in to confirm they have arrived before lunchtime Saturday, and a busy day of meeting and learning about the Lions' program is surely to follow.

Penn State now has a second Johnson in its class of 2015.

New Jersey receiver Juwan Johnson long ago committed to the Lions, and now, is joined by Governor Mifflin QB/LB Jan Johnson. The senior announced Friday he intends to walk on at Penn State, turning down an offer to Akron and FCS program Fordham in the process.
