Dozens of pieces of heavy machinery were on the Tesla property in Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014.

The list of jobs for Tesla Motors' large battery facility east of Reno continues to grow as construction ramps up for the gigafactory.

The positions from Tesla were listed today at Indeed.com, which also previously posted gigafactory jobs from Panasonic.

The full-time positions are for two supply chain analysts, a purchasing manager and a senior purchasing analyst. The jobs are not included in the 28 gigafactory positions posted recently by Nevada JobConnect. Some of those jobs are expected to be filled by this month, JobConnect said.

Responsibilities for the supply chain analyst positions include purchasing, setting up new vendors and inputting and maintaining contracts. The purchasing manager and senior purchasing analyst are expected to develop business relationships, lead contract negotiations and implement best practices for strategic sourcing.

The jobs are among 14 positions posted on Tesla's career page. Other jobs on Tesla's site include a Building Information Modeling (BIM) manager, environmental engineer, commodity manager, mechanical project engineer, health and safety manager, staff industrial engineer and a quality assurance and control manager. Although the jobs represent the kind of high-paying jobs that the state wants to grow, it also puts a spotlight on Nevada's ability to provide a skilled workforce to company's such as Tesla.

In addition to jobs at the gigafactory, hiring is also ramping up for site construction, which is expected to employ 1,000 workers by mid-January and 2,500 by June. Documents filed by Tesla show that the gigafactory will be built in five phases. This will allow the facility to start producing batteries by next year, even though the gigafactory campus won't be fully completed until 2017.
