Electrolux AB said new U.S. energy standards will continue to hurt business next year, sending its shares lower.

The adoption of new rules within refrigeration has been more complex than anticipated and will continue to harm performance during the fourth quarter and into the first half of 2015, the maker of AEG stoves and Frigidaire freezers said today in a statement. New standards from the Department of Energy affected its North American business in the third quarter, Electrolux said Oct. 20.
