Weyerhaeuser Company announces vice presidents

Kent Walker, vice president of the company’s Columbus cellulose fibers mill, is the new vice president of Weyerhaeuser’s cellulose fibers manufacturing for all primary mills and modified fiber mills in the south, Canada and Poland. Walker will also oversee manufacturing and technical services teams. He has more than 33 years of experience in the pulp and paper business. An employee of Weyerhaeuser since 1992, Walker has held numerous leadership roles in the cellulose fibers business. He is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology and worked for Proctor & Gamble before joining Weyerhaeuser.

David Phillips has been named vice president of the Columbus cellulose fibers mill. He has been in the pulp and paper industry for more than 27 years and an employee of Weyerhaeuser since 2004. He most recently served as production manager at the Columbus cellulose fibers mill. A graduate of Auburn University, Phillips worked for Inland Container and Proctor & Gamble before joining Weyerhaeuser.
