Thompson Creek Metals Announces Start Date For New CEO - Quick Facts

Thompson Creek Metals Company Inc. (TC,TCM.TO) said that the previously announced appointment of Jacques Perron as the Company's new Chief Executive Officer will be effective as of October 15, 2013.

Perron will succeed Kevin Loughrey, who will retire as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer effective as of October 14, 2013. Timothy Haddon, the Company's Lead Director, will succeed Loughrey as Chairman of the Company's Board of Directors, effective as of October 15, 2013.

Electric vehicle maker Tesla Inc. revealed that it will lay off 285 workers from its Buffalo, New York workforce.
