Charles John Dumont of Attleboro, a retired machinist, died Tuesday at home. He was 92.

Mr. Dumont was born in Woonsocket, R.I., and moved to Attleboro many years ago from Central Falls, R.I.

He was employed as a machinist for Texas Instruments in Attleboro for more than 40 years.

His love for horses influenced his founding Char-Gus Equestrian Center in South Attleboro, which he owned and operated from 1977 to 1998.

He was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church in Seekonk.

Husband of the late Madeline J. (Lussier), he is survived by three daughters, Annette M. Sullivan of Okeechobee, Fla., and Diane M. Hanley and Christine M. Dumont-Casey, both of Attleboro; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Seekonk.

Burial will be at Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket, R.I.
