Twitter Inc. (TWTR) Pulled Back On Disappointing Revenue Outlook

Twitter Inc. (TWTR) reported third quarter adjusted EPS of $0.01 after the close Monday, compared to the loss of $0.13 last year. Revenues jumped 114% to $361.27 million from $168.58 million a year ago. The consensus estimates were for EPS of $0.01 and revenues of $351.35 million.

Twitter expects to report fourth quarter revenues of $440 million to $450 million and between $1.365 billion to $1.375 billion for the full year. The consensus estimates are for revenues of $448.18 million and $1.36 billion respectively.

Twitter gapped open sharply lower Tuesday, but recovered some ground during the second half of the morning. The stock finished with a loss of 4.78 at $43.78 on above average volume. Twitter sank to a 2 1/2 month low.
