Qld 'terror' teen wants to return: report

A Queensland teenager suspected of aligning himself with an al-Qaeda linked terror group has reportedly denied taking up arms and wants to come home.
Oliver Bridgeman has told his parents, via the internet, he is in an area controlled by the Al-Nusra front but is undertaking humanitarian work, News Corporation reports.
It's also believed the Toowoomba teen had expressed a desire to come home.
The 18-year-old travelled to the Middle East after failing to return home from a humanitarian role in Indonesia.
Mr Bridgeman's parents last week said they had no indication he was making plans to travel to the Middle East and didn't believe he was supporting or participating in terrorist acts.
They also urged their son to come home.
The AFP said it was continuing to look at ways to communicate with Mr Bridgeman in an effort to convince him to return home.
