Panasonic Eluga U2 Arrives With a Qualcomm 64-bit Quad-Core CPU
Over the past few weeks there has been a lot of chatter about the Panasonic Eluga U2 that will be the company's first ever 64-bit device. It has now been officially revealed in Taiwan.
Panasonic today announced their first 64-bit smartphone. It's not a new flagship device; the first 64-bit Smartphone from Japan's most successful electronics company is a mid-end phone.

The Panasonic Eluga E2 - the legitimate successor of the Eluga U- is priced at affordable $254 (Rs. 16,002) for Taiwan. Availability for other countries is yet to be detailed, notes GSMArena.
Panasonic Eluga U2 - Highlighted Specifications
The Eluga U2 comes with a 5-inch IPS display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution and offers a 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, alongside 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
On the camera front, it comes with a 13MP (rear) and a 5MP (front) shooter. The handset is backed up by a 2500 mAh battery and also offers LTE connectivity. The software side of things is handled by Android 4.4 KitKat.
While it's set for the mid-tier market, Panasonic is clearly looking to challenge its big-ticket rivals such as Samsung, who recently launched its 64-bit smartphone in India.
There's no word of the availability of the Panasonic Eluga U2 in India. Once we know more about the pricing and release schedule we'll be sure to keep you up to date.
