Sheridan Smith is dating Hollyoaks hunk Greg Wood - just three months after he split from his wife.
Cilla star Sheridan, 33, and Greg, 36, are believed to have started their romance after the soap actor separated from his wife Catherine.
The pair were seen happily cosying up at last week's National Television Awards and were spotted kissing at Liverpool's Smuggler's Cove restaurant.
But one person isn't so keen on the pair's blossoming romance - his wife.
A source told The Sun On Sunday: "Catherine was devastated when she realised that Greg was dating Sheridan so soon after they split.
"She found out in November that they were sending each other flirty messages on Twitter, but didn’t know things had gone any further."
Greg, who plays Trevor Royle in the teen soap, has three children with his ex of ten years, Serena, eight, was born in 2006 and they have a younger daughter and a son Joel, four.
Greg tweeted in the early hours of this morning, saying he was "single" and split from his "ex in the summer."
It is thought Greg began swapping messages with Bafta winner Sheridan after he split from his wife - and the pair met up soon after.
Diners at Liverpool's Smuggler's Cove spotted the pair last week kissing and cuddling over a candlelit supper.
Yvonne Clements took to Twitter after seeing the actress, writing: "Had a lovely night at @smugglerscoveL for rea 18th my fav place seems that @Sheridansmith1 was hungry too she nearly swallowed her partner."
Mrs Biggs star Sheridan has always been open about her quest to find love. Her last romance was with Amy Winehouse's ex Reg Travis which ended three years ago.
Speaking last year Sheridan said she had thrown herself into her work.
"I’m enjoying working so much. People go: ‘Why are you single?’, but it’s because I actually love my job. I’m so grateful to be working. I like to think that, at 31, I’ve still got time to put things on hold, like a family.
"It’s all going so well right now, I don’t want to ruin all that. This could all end tomorrow and I always touch wood and wonder how long it’s going to last."
After cutting her teeth in sitcom Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, Sheridan is now one of the hottest young stars of stage and screen, scooping award after award in recent years.
