Fortune Buys Out Norcraft; Forms Large Cabinet Maker

The Deerfield-based company paid $25.50 per share.

A Deerfield company bought out a Minnesota-based competitor to form a large maker of kitchen and bathroom cabinets, the chicago Tribune reports.

Fortune Brands Home & Security purchased Norcraft Cos. at $25.50 per share. Norcraft’s sales rose almost 11 percent to $376 million last year and closed Friday at $22.90.
