MarkWest Energy Partners LP (NYSE: MWE) nominated William A. Bruckmann III for election to the board of directors of MarkWest Energy GP LLC, its general partner, upon the April 24 retirement announcement of Keith E. Bailey, the company said the same day.
Bailey will retire from the general partner’s board June 6, MarkWest Energy Partners said.
“On behalf of MarkWest, I would like to thank Keith for his service over the past nine years. His guidance and leadership has played an influential role in establishing MarkWest as a leading growth-oriented master limited partnership,” said Frank Semple, the chairman, president and CEO of MarkWest Energy Partners.
Semple added, “He served a key role in the ongoing development of our strategic vision to deliver top-tier midstream services and innovative customer-focused solutions. We wish Keith the best in his future endeavors.”
Bailey had been on the board since 2005, the company noted.
From 2007-2011, Bruckmann was the director for Duncan Energy Partners LP, and was the director for Williams Energy Partners LP, now Magellan Midstream Partners LP, from 2001-2003, MarkWest Energy Partners said.
“We are very excited to offer Bill the opportunity to be elected as the newest member of our board,” said Semple.
He continued, “His prior natural gas pipeline and midstream experience, coupled with strong capital markets expertise, will be instrumental as we continue to execute on our growth strategy and deploy capital investments to support producers in many of America’s most productive and exciting resource plays.”
Denver-based MarkWest Energy Partners LP is a midstream domestic-focused MLP.
