IMAX Corp. (IMAX) Rose To A New High After Subsidiary Filed For Hong Kong IPO

IMAX Corp. (IMAX) announced Thursday morning that its IMAX China Holding Inc. subsidiary, has submitted a listing application for an initial public offering and listing of its shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

IMAX gapped open sharply higher Thursday and posted gains in early trade, before profit taking set in. The stock ended the day higher by 1.22 at $39.99, with volume at over a 10-month high. IMAX broke out of a week and a half long trading range and set a new high for the year.
