UCLA's Garrick Pac-12 Men's Golfer of the Month

SAN FRANCISCO – Jonathan Garrick of UCLA has been named the Pac-12 Men’s Golfer of the Month for November, the Pac-12 announced today.

The junior from Atherton, Calif., helped the 4th-ranked Bruins to victory with a 10th place showing at the Gifford Collegiate Championship (Nov. 3-5) in San Martin, Calif., as he posted a 2-under 211 (72-68-71).

Garrick followed up with a second-place finish as an individual participating at the Western Refining All-America Tournament (Nov. 8-10) in El Paso, Texas, where he fired a 7-under 206 (67-71-68).

In 15 rounds this season, he is 10-under par with four Top 10 finishes. Garrick has a scoring average of 70.9 and is currently ranked No. 19 by GolfStat and No. 34 by GolfWeek.

The fall season closes with six Pac-12 teams currently ranked in Golfweek’s Top 25 -  No. 3 OREGON, No. 4 UCLA, No. 14 STANFORD, No. 15 USC, No. 21 CALIFORNIA and No. 22 WASHINGTON. Pac-12 teams return to action on Jan. 26 -27 as ARIZONA, ARIZONA STATE and California open the spring slate at the Arizona Intercollegiate (Sewailo Golf Course) in Tucson, Ariz.

Also nominated for golfer of the month honors were Jeremy Paul, So., COLORADO; Viraat Badhwar, So., STANFORD; Paul Smith, Sr., USC.
