Seattle • Alaska Air Group Inc. reported Thursday that its third-quarter net income was $198 million, or $1.45 per share, surpassing Wall Street expectations of $1.41 per share.

The airline posted revenue of $1.47 billion in the period, matching Wall Street forecasts.

Alaska Air shares have risen 27 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 41 percent in the last 12 months.

In September, the airline flew seven flights daily out of Salt Lake City International Airport, according to Airport Authority online records.
