Arizonans in search of a bed for a good night’s rest now have one more place to shop. Houston-based Mattress Firm Holding Corp., a fast-growing retailer, opened its largest store in Scottsdale this month and plans to open another store Sept. 4 in Tempe. The 24,000-square-foot Scottsdale store, at 15745 N. Hayden, is a new concept that will carry seven of the top bedding manufacturers in the nation.

At Home, which has stores in Mesa, Tempe, and Peoria, has opened a superstore at 12025 N 32nd Street in Phoenix. It offers modern and traditional home decor at competitive prices. The Plano, Texas-based company is looking to grow to 600 stores in its existing and new markets.

Sprouts Farmers Market, a fast-growing natural and organic grocer in the nation, announced 10 new stores planned for the first quarter 2015. The company recently expanded in the Atlanta area and anticipates continued growth for as long as healthier lifestyle choices remain in demand. Sprouts recently was named one of the top five supermarket chains by Consumer Reports. The Haymaker Restaurant Co. in Peoria is opening a second location in Goodyear at the end of September. The 7,500-square-foot space at 1800 N. Litchfield Road is decorated in an early 1900’s rustic theme with 26 televisions and will seat 330 people. A bar will offer more than 100 bourbons and whiskeys. Mother and son, Lisa and and Joey Lucidi, offer American comfort foods such as chicken fried steak, specialty hot dogs, ribs, burgers, pulled pork and fish and chips.
