Paragon Shipping Announces Pricing of 5.9M Share Public Offering of Common Stock at $6.25 per Share

(the "Company" or "Paragon Shipping") announced today that it has priced its previously announced underwritten offering of 5,900,000 shares of its Class A common stock at $6.25 per share. The offering is expected to close on February 18, 2014. Jefferies LLC is acting as the sole book-running manager of the offering. Maxim Group LLC is acting as lead manager of the offering. Paragon Shipping has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 885,000 shares of Class A common stock. The net proceeds from this offering after the underwriting discount and other offering expenses payable by Paragon Shipping are expected to be approximately $34.5 million. The net proceeds of this offering are expected to be used for vessel acquisitions with the balance for general corporate purposes, including working capital and the repayment of debt.
