Basic materials stocks finished down broadly on Wall Street today, with the sector seeing an overall decline of 0.2%.

More broadly, the Dow Jones Industrial Average remained flat, the Nasdaq was up 0.4% and the S&P 500 was steady.

Some of the biggest gainers among basic materials stocks include:

• Fibria Celulose S.A. (FBR): FBR stock is up 2.4% today.

• Clearwater Paper Corp (CLW): CLW stock is up 2.3% today.

• Georgia Gulf Corp (AXLL): AXLL stock is up 2.2% today.

• Neenah Paper (NP): NP stock is up 2.0% today.

• Gerdau S.A. (GGB): GGB stock is up 2.0% today.

• Albemarle Corp (ALB): ALB stock is up 1.9%, marking the fifth consecutive day the stock has increased.

• Kapstone Paper and Packaging Corp (KS): KS stock is up 1.8% today.

• Vale S.A. (VALE): VALE stock is up 1.8% today.

• Huntsman Corp (HUN): HUN stock is up 1.2% today.

• National Steel Corp (SID): SID stock is up 1.2% today.

• New Gold Inc (NGD): NGD stock is down 4.2% today.

• Cameco Corp (CCJ): CCJ stock is down 3.9% today.

• Novagold Resources Inc (NG): NG stock is down 3.8% today.

• Anglogold Ashanti Ltd (AU): AU stock is down 2.9% today.

• Plum Creek Timber Company (PCL): PCL stock is down 2.6% today.

• Harmony Gold Mining Co. Ltd (HMY): HMY stock is down 2.6% today.

• Compania Mina Buenaventura S.A. (BVN): BVN stock is down 2.6% today.

• Chemtura Corp (CHMT): CHMT stock is down 2.2% today.

• Westlake Chemical Corp (WLK): WLK stock is down 2.1% today.

• Barrick Gold Corp (ABX): ABX stock is down 1.9% today.
