According to Lynn Gape, Deputy Executive Director of the BNT, the festival began 23 years ago with just 20 artists and each year it has grown. Today, the festival features over 50 artists and is a great place to see a variety of artistic styles. Art in many forms will be on display and it should not surprise anyone that the beautiful Bahamian Environment is the subject of many of the pieces. “We are once again thrilled to have many outstanding artists participating in the Festival," noted Gape.

New artists participating this year are Michael Edwards, Tom Rosiewich, Shashia Bethune, Maureen Koepp, Kevin Cooper, Wendy Cartwright and Willard Cunningham. Three furniture artisans will also be participating this year. Woods R Us will be showing their famous outdoor benches, Harbour Island Furniture Company will have unique pieces based on historical designs and Native Son Woodworking will have unique pieces made of native hardwoods.
