Pakistan fast bowler Rahat Ali has been ruled out of the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh after sustaining a hamstring injury. The left-arm pacer picked up an injury to his hamstring and will miss both the Tests, the first of which starts on the 28th of April at the Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna.

Rahat joins Sohail Khan, Ehsan Adil, Yasir Shah and Sohaib Maqsood on the treatment table as Pakistan look to turn around a disastrous tour in the longer format after getting blanked in the preceding ODI and T20 series. The return of the experienced captain Misbah-ul-Haq and senior batsman Younis Khan, however, is likely to boost the beleaguered side in dire need of a lift.

Rahat, who has 31 wickets from 11 Tests at 36.67, featured in Pakistan's most recent Test series against New Zealand in UAE late last year. PCB are expected to announce a replacement for Rahat Ali in due course and will also investigate the reasons for these recurring injury problems on the insistence of its board of governors.
