CBC Radio One has been recognized with 25 New York Festivals awards at a ceremony held in New York City. The New York Festivals Awards recognize the best in international radio, whether local, network or independent, from more than 30 countries around the world.
In addition, CBC Radio One’s The Current picked up one previously announced award at The Gracies Awards luncheon held earlier in New York. The Gracies Awards celebrate and honour exemplary programming created for women, by women and about women.
Later in the week, CBC Radio One will pick up five previously announced Gabriel Awards, at a ceremony to be held on Thursday, June 25 in Buffalo, NY. The Gabriel Awards recognize outstanding artistic achievement in programs and series which entertain and enrich with a true vision of humanity and life.
