GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WKRN) – The Vanderbilt Commodores came up two seconds short of knocking off Florida falling 50-47 Wednesday night in Gainesville.

Freshman Devin Robinson’s two-hand slam with 2.1 seconds to go put the Gators on top for good. Robinson finished with 12 points for the Gators (13-13,6-7)

The Commodores (14-12,4-9) led the game by six at the half 25-19, but struggled mightily on offense in the second half. The Dores saw that lead disappear during a 13-0 Gator run that gave them a 40-33 lead.

Florida won the game despite playing without two of its leading scorers. Michael Frazier II missed it with ankle injury and Dorian Finney-Smith was suspended.

Freshman Riley LaChance led Vanderbilt was the only Commodore in double figures with 17 points. Vanderbilt got only 3 points off the bench.
