Carlisle Companies Inc. (CSL) reported first quarter income from continuing operations of $0.59 per share Thursday morning, up from $0.56 per share last year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.58.

Carlisle Companies gapped up slightly Thursday and has continued to rise in early trade. Shares are now up 5.06 at $99.92. The stock has surged past resistance and has set a new high for the year.
