NEW YORK, March 12, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:NDAQ) announced today the results of the quarterly reranking of the NASDAQ Q-50 IndexSM (Nasdaq:NXTQ), which will become effective with the market open on Monday, March 22, 2010.
The following eight securities will be added to the Index: Amylin Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq:AMLN), Gentex Corporation (Nasdaq:GNTX), Lincare Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq:LNCR), Micron Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq:MU), Rambus, Inc. (Nasdaq:RMBS), Sirius XM Radio Inc. (Nasdaq:SIRI), Vistaprint N.V. (Nasdaq:VPRT), and Windstream Corporation (Nasdaq:WIN).
The Index is designed to track the performance of the 50 securities that are next in line to replace the securities currently included in the NASDAQ-100 Index®. As a result of the evaluation, the following eight securities will be removed from the Index: CTC Media, Inc. (Nasdaq:CTCM), Endo Pharmaceutical Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq:ENDP), LM Ericsson Telephone Company (Nasdaq:ERIC), Allscripts-Misys Healthcare Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq:MDRX), Myriad Genetics, Inc. (Nasdaq:MYGN), Patterson-UTI Energy, Inc. (Nasdaq:PTEN), Strayer Education, Inc. (Nasdaq:STRA), and Techne Corporation (Nasdaq:TECH).
