Ottawa Police say a 24-year- old man remains in critical condition following an overnight crash on Merivale Road.
The driver of the car lost control and smashed the vehicle into cement posts under a rail road overpass near Colonnade Road.
The passenger suffered minor injuries.
Police says the investigation has revealed that alcohol and speed are factors in the crash.
 No names have been released.
