Polycom adds audio and video innovations to its collaboration portfolio

Polycom, Inc. has announced new breakthroughs to its portfolio of video, voice and content collaboration solutions. The industry-first audio and video innovations have been developed to help organisations defy distance, create a culture of effective collaboration, enable ‘always on’ connectivity. Polycom puts experiences at the centre of its product and solutions development to create collaboration solutions that fit the way teams work – not the other way around. With the workplace rapidly evolving to include more open spaces and accommodate workers on the go, Polycom’s latest innovations enable collaboration regardless of location or device:

The Polycom EagleEye Producer is a camera innovation that advances facial recognition technology to create a more natural, production-like experience. It dynamically finds everyone in the discussion and automatically frames them for clear view – even when new people join or leave the room. When used with Polycom RealPresence Group Series solutions and Polycom RealPresence Resource Manager software, it reports valuable data, including the number of participants at the start of the meeting, the end and the total time each attended, to help administrators with utilisation planning. Polycom NoiseBlock technology, another new feature of Polycom RealPresence Group Series and Polycom RealPresence Collaboration Server solutions, automatically eliminates extraneous noises such as paper shuffling, crinkling food wrappers and keyboard typing from interrupting conversations. For users on the go, Polycom Acoustic Bubble technology, available in Polycom RealPresence Desktop video collaboration software, automatically removes unwanted noise from a call, including background conversations, city street noise or other peripheral sounds, without the end user having to hover over the mute button. “Polycom is focused on leading our customers’ success by creating solutions to help them build a collaborative experience that is both natural and easy to use,” said Peter Leav, Polycom President and CEO. “The innovations we have unveiled are a direct reflection of that commitment and our vision to unleash the power of human collaboration. With the right combination of technology, people and processes, organisations can improve productivity, boost innovation and hone their competitive edge.”
