— Ashleigh Erin Green became the bride of Joshua James Bishop on Saturday, Jan. 15, in the ballroom of the Junior League of Little Rock Building. The Rev. Faron Rogers officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Sandra Starnes of White Hall and Steve Green of Star City. She is the granddaughter of Maxine Owens of Little Rock, Juanita and Raymond Green, also of Star City, and the late W.T. Owens of Pine Bluff.

The parents of the bridegroom are MaryAnn and Jim Bishop of Mandeville, La. He is the grandson of Marjorie and Richard Bishop of Bradley and Honey and the Rev. R.D. Harrington of Little Rock.

Vows were exchanged under an arbor of curly willow and hanging white orchids. An aisle was formed of lanterns topped with vines. Music was by keyboardist Faron Wilson, trumpeter Dr. Richard Bailey, violinist Alex Small, violist Christy Bonds and soloists Mandy Walker Cotten and Kelly Freeland. Assisting with programs were Nate Oosterhous of Glenwood, Spencer Owens of Cleveland, Miss., and Matthew Williams of Coppell, Texas.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a silk strapless A-line gown with an Empire waist embellished with a Windsor-blue belt encrusted with cut crystals and rhinestones. Her cathedral-length veil had two layers of ivory tulle, and she carried a hand-tied mix of white French anemones, lisianthus, garden roses, crespedia, dusty miller and white ostrich feathers along with a handkerchief made from her mother’s wedding gown.

Heather Sweat Bankhead of Bryant was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Leah Sweat of White Hall; Susan Jones Harris and Kelly Freeland, both of Memphis; Erin Starnes Walker ofBirmingham, Ala., sister of the bride; Megan Dutton of Star City, cousin of the bride; and Ashley Gibbs Morrison of Little Rock.

They wore full-length strapless dresses of charcoal-gray chiffon with draped bodices and shirring at the Empire waistlines.

Flower girls were Anna Claire Camp of Pine Bluff and Molly Williams of Coppell. Ring bearers were William Lile Owens of Cleveland, Miss., and Zac Oosterhous of Glenwood.

The father of the bridegroom was best man. Groomsmen were Sloan Bishop, brother of the bridegroom, and Steven Burgess, both of Mandeville; Scott Speights of Arkadelphia; and Michael Kirkpatrick, Matthew Bridwell, Zak Moore, Clark Tennyson, Justin Reddin and Daniel Morrison, all of Little Rock.

Guests were seated by Zachary Starnes, brother of the bride, and Charles Walker Jr., both of Birmingham; Andrew Rankin of Texarkana, Texas; and Chris Whiddon of Ruston, La.

A reception was held in the Great Hall of the Clinton Presidential Center. The buffet was decorated with branches and ostrich feathers elevated on white silhouette glassware. Music was by the Big John Miller Band.

The bride has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Arkansas State University at Jonesboro, and is a cardiovascular intensive care nurse at Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

The bridegroom received a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia and is a sales executive for Wesco International Inc. of Little Rock.

After a honeymoon to Jamaica, they will make their home in Little Rock.
