Kroger and Schostak Restaurants hosting employment fairs

DETROIT, MI - This Saturday Novi-based grocery chain Kroger Co. of Michigan is hosting an “Open Hire Event” at all 126 of its Michigan stores.
From 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Oct. 4, the company will try to fill positions in all departments, from delicatessen to floral to cashiers. The open spots are part-time with hourly wages, but the company said they could turn into full-time gigs.

TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants, meanwhile, said it is looking to hire 300 positions at the 64 Applebee’s chain restaurants it runs.
The company is hosting four career fairs in Metro Detroit to fill the positions, which include managerial and hourly jobs. Most of the spots will be in the Southfield and Livonia areas.
The hiring fairs will take place at the Holiday Inn in Farmington Hills, 37529 Grand River Ave., every Tuesday in October from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
In addition to Applebee’s, Livonia-based TEAM Schostak also has 60 Burger King resatuarants, 11 Olga’s Kitchen spots and four Del Taco eateries in its portfolio.
