Texas defensive tackle Malcom Brown is one of the top players at the position in the 2015 draft class. He was only a limited participant at the Longhorns' pro day on Tuesday after a solid showing at the NFL Scouting Combine last month.

Brown showcased a nice combination of power, athleticism and short-area quickness for an interior lineman at the combine. The event's official site notes he ran a 5.05-second 40-yard dash and posted 26 reps on the bench press along with taking part in four other tests.

The Texas native is confident he'll be able to make an impact regardless of scheme. Frank Cooney of CBS Sports provided the tackle's thoughts about possibly shifting to end in a 3-4 look.

"Give me a position to play in, and I'll play it: 3-4, 4-3, doesn't matter. There's not that big of a difference between nose and end," Brown said.

Alex Dunlap of Rivals noted his decision to stick with his combine numbers for the athletic testing:

Charean Williams of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram stated Brown checked in at 320 pounds, virtually the same as at the combine (319):

UT DT Malcom Brown weighed 320 but hasn't done anything yet. Passed on 40 and bench.

Anwar Richardson of Rivals pointed out the Detroit Lions, one of the teams that could be in the market for a defensive tackle, had a line coach in attendance:

After the testing was finished, Brown jumped into the fray for the on-field testing.

Williams showed him getting ready for an agility drill:

Richardson said he was working with the aforementioned Lions defensive line coach:

The Houston Texans passed along a video snippet of the action. Brown once again showed good movement for a player of his size:

Bleacher Report's Brent Sobleski sees a potential top-10 pick:

I'm one of the few (if any?) that believe Malcom Brown is a legit top-10 talent in this year's draft class.

All told, he did as much as he could to bolster his stock given the pro day setting and limited participation. He won't skyrocket up boards and, probably more importantly, he shouldn't slide at all, either.

Brown eliminated most of the potential downside of the pro day by passing on the athletic testing. He could have tried to wow the talent evaluators and possibly make a push toward Danny Shelton as the No. 2 tackle behind Leonard Williams, but it wasn't worth the risk.

The Texas product should go somewhere in the middle of Round 1 based on how things stand now. As mentioned, the Lions could be one team with interest in him. They are slated to pick at No. 23. The mid-20s probably represent the back end of his draft range.

Nothing from the pro day changed that overall outlook with just over a month until draft day.
