Amid three years of sales decrease, Taiwan-based tech-company HTC is determined to bounce back this year as it prepares for the upcoming launch of its first smartwatch, alongside its rumored high-end handset One M9.

Citing an incite from a reliable person, HTC will reportedly launch its first foray in wearable gadget during the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2015 that will be held in Barcelona, Spain, Bloomberg reports. The said event will be HTC's chance to showcase its latest devices alongside tech giants like Samsung Electronics Co. and Huawei Technologies Co.

As HTC gear up for the debut of its first smartwatch, the Taiwanese company, according to Techcrunch, was able to keep its design and features as trade secret up to now.  The only data known is that the smartwatch will have Under Armour's fitness tracking software service.

HTC smartwatch will be the first wearable gadget from the tech firm that has been struggling with its mobile phones sales for quite a while now. Though the Taiwanese remained mum on the features of the upcoming wearable, it is believed that it will be an Android powered device.

One M9, on the other hand, is believed to be the new flagship smartphone of HTC. Rumors said the new device will share almost the same design and looks of its predecessor, One M8. The features that will be improved include the camera and audio quality which will feature Dolby 5.1 audio output.

It can be recalled that M8 garnered a lot of positive raves after its launch last year, thus, good reception is expected for the upcoming M9. HTC's new device will also be more powerful with its eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor.  The new flagship device is also expected to house "HTC's latest Sense 7 user interface with improved location-based services."

If you are one of those who have been anticipating for HTC's first smartwatch as well as the new One M9, save March 1 in your calendar as the firm's press event will happen on the said date.
